Dr. Nupur Tiwari

Prof Nupur Tiwary is currently the Chair Professor of Dr. Ambedkar Chair in Social Justice of Indian Institute of Public Administration funded and supported by Dr. Ambedkar Foundation ( Autonomous Body under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, GoI). She was working as Special Director, National Tribal Research Institute, (under the aegis of Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi and Head, Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Tribal Affairs, (MoTA) at Indian Institute of Public Administration IIPA, New Delhi. Earlier, she had worked as Senior Consultant to the former Union Minister of Panchayati Raj, providing inputs on Local governance. . She is also the visiting faculty of IBS Hague She was also a faculty member at LBSNAA, Mussoorie, she has lectured vastly in India and abroad.

Her current research interests include Social Justice, Tribal Development, Tribal Local Governance, Tribal Public Policy, Gender Policy and Governance, Left Wing Extremism, Rural Development and Decentralization. She has authored Fifty-five research papers/Articles, published in peer reviewed National and International journals. She has authored Seven books and four Monographs and has contributed Chapters in eleven volumes. She has published eighty reports for Government of India. She was also the Domain Expert for Prime Minister award for excellence in Public Administration. Training  

She has provided and  organized 31  training programs and Workshops   to Tribal Research Institutes  and Tribal Talent Pool of M/O Tribal Affairs  and other Officials in the recent time . Some  as follows:- A National Consultation on “ Capacity Building and Strengthening of Tribal Research Institutes on 28 – 29th January, 2020 at Indian Institute of Public Administration; National Tribal Research Conclave: Tribal Research Institutes (TRIs), Centre of Excellence, Research Organizations , 3rd – 4th September, 2020 at Centre of Excellence, Tribal Affairs, IIPA ;National consultation on Tribal Talent Pool on 13th – 14th August, 2020  ; Tribal Scholars and Development Schemes on 4th December 2020 ;Training on Tribal Intellectuals and Inclusion, New       28th & 29th February, 2020 ;Higher Administration and Project Management” for Archites, CPWD from February 18-March 1, 2019 ; Training Programme on 'Training of Trainers (TOT) for the preparation of Standardized training module for Tribal Research Institutes (TRIs)'.          February 26-28th, 2019  CoE , MoTA ;Personality Development Training Programme (PDTP)” –for  CPWD Officers   (February 12-March 9, 2019)   ;Two- Week Mandatory Training Course on  “Higher Administration & Legal Matters”for EEs (Civil & Electrical), CPWD  Programme Coordinator (February7-11, 2019)
