Paul H. Appleby Awardlogo

Paul H Appleby Award is presented to the members of IIPA for their distinguished services to the institute and to the field of Public Administration. The award was instituted in the year 1998. The award is the most prestigious award of IIPA. The award carries a plague, citation and shawl. The objective of the award is to felicitate those individuals who have contributed greatly in the field of public administration in national perspective and by whose association, IIPA will stand to gain. The award is bestowed to the awardees at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the institute every year.

T.N Chaturvedi Award for the best Article in IJPAlogo

Shri T.N Chaturvedi Award for the Best Article in the Indian Journal of Public Administration (IJPA) was awarded for the best article published in the journal of IIPA i.e. Indian Journal of Public Administration (IJPA). The award was instituted in the year 2008. The award is bestowed to the awardees at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the institute every year.

T.N Chaturvedi Award For Excellence In Public Serviceslogo

The Award for Excellence in Public Services is awarded to an individual or an organization for exemplary services in public life. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 100000/-, a plague and a citation. The award is jointly awarded by IIPA and IIPA Alumni Association. The award was instituted in the year 2015. The award is bestowed to the awardee(s) at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the institute every year.

Annual Essay Prize Competition (English)

Annual Essay Prize Competition in English is awarded to the best essay written by individual(s) on the theme as announced by IIPA. Every year before the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of IIPA, 3-4 themes were selected and announced for the Annual Essay Prize Competition in English. The award carries first prize of Rs 10000/-, second prize of Rs 7000/- and third prize of Rs 5000/- along with certificate of participation. The award is instituted in the year 1957 onwards. The award is bestowed to the awardees at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the institute every year.

Annual Essay Prize Competition in Hindi is awarded to the best essay written by individual(s) on the theme as announced by IIPA. Every year before the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of IIPA, 3-4 themes were selected and announced for the Annual Essay Prize Competition in Hindi. The award carries first prize of Rs 10000/-, second prize of Rs 7000/- and third prize of Rs 5000/- along with certificate of participation. The award is instituted in the year 1957 onwards. The award is bestowed to the awardees at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the institute every year.

  1. First Prize of Rs.10,000/- to Ms. Bhawna Mishra for her essay on “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” (English Essay)
  2. Second Prize of Rs.7,000/- to Mr. Avdhesh Kumar Mishra for his essay on “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” (Hindi Essay)

Annual Decision Making / Teaching Case Study Competitition

The Annual Decision Making/Teaching Case Study Competition award is given for the best case study writing. Every year before the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of IIPA, 3-4 themes were selected and announced for the Annual Case Study Competition. The award carries first prize of Rs 10000/-, second prize of Rs 6000/- and third prize of Rs 4000/- along with certificate of participation. The award is instituted in the year in 1957 onwards. The award is bestowed to the awardees at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the institute every year.

The Recipients of the Award in 2020-21:

  1. First Prize of Rs.10,000/- to Shri Dipayan Pal on the topic: Macro-potential of Microchip Manufacturing TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company)
  2. Second Prize of Rs.6,000/- to Dr. Nemi Chand Goliaya on the topic: Fight Against COVID-19: A case study from Chandigarh

Shri T.N. Chaturvedi Memorial Certificate of Appreciation for the most number of Research Studies Completed by an IIPA Facultylogo

This award is the Certificate of appreciation for faculty of IIPA, constituted in the memory of Late Shri T.N. Chaturvedi, former Chairman IIPA for completing the most number of research studies during the year starting from 2019-20. The award carries cash prize of Rs 10000/- and a certificate. The award is bestowed to the awardee at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the institute every year.

The award carries cash prize of Rs 5000/- and a certificate. The award is bestowed to the awardee at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the institute every year.
