GUJARAT REGIONAL BRANCH

The Gujarat Regional Branch was established in the year 1983 at M.S Building, Lal Darwaja, Ahmedabad. From its inception, various Government Officers were in the charge of chairman of Gujarat Regional Branch, Ahmedabad. Due to shifting of offices from Ahmedabad to Gandhinagar, no record is available at present. Mega event was organized by Gujarat Regional Branch, Ahmedabad jointly with Mahatma Gandhi Labour Institute during the year 2003-2004 on the occasion of Golden Jubilee of Indian Institute of Public Administration. The Chief Guest of the function was Shri Narendrabhai Modi, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Gujarat. IIPA, Gujarat Regional Branch, Ahmedabad and Sadvichar Parivar, Ahmedabad organized jointly seminar on “The Challenges to the Pillars of Democracy” on 18.08.2018. For this seminar the speakers were (1) Shri Sureshbhai Mehta (Hon’ble Former Chief Minister, Gujarat), (2) Shri Arvind Sanghvi (Former Finance Minister, Gujarat), (3) Shri Prabhakar Dholakia (Former Secretary, Legal Department, Government of Gujarat), (4) Shri Ajay Umat (Sr. Editor, Navgujrat Samay News Paper). Last year i.e. 2020 due to Corona effect : (A) Gujarat Regional Branch, Ahmedabad has organized one virtual talk jointly with Navjivan Centre for Development, Mehsana on the topic “CO-OPERATION AND CO-ORDINATION between Government and Public during covid-19 crisis on 29.06.2020. The eminent speakers for this webinar were (1) Shri S M Vijyanand, Hon’ble Former Chief Secretary, Kerala and (2) Shri P K Laheri, Hon’ble Former Chief Secretary, Gujarat. (B) The webinar was on the subject “ India Skill Forum-2020 (skilling for self-Reliant India)” on 15.09.2020. The eminent speakers for this webinar were (1) Ms. S. Glory Swarupa,(DG,NI-MSME,Hydrabad),(2) Shri S N Tripathi,IAS (Director IIPA, New Delhi), (3) Shri P K Laheri, Hon’ble Former Chief Secretary, Gujarat. (C) The webinar was on the subject “Impact of Covid-19 on Education Sector” jointly with BM Institute of Mental Health organization, Ahmedabad on 27.11.2020. The eminent speakers for this webinar were (1) Shri Pradyuman Vyas, Former Director, NID, (2) Shri Sanjay Vanani, Founder and CEO Navjivan Centre for Development, Mehsana, (3) Dr Madhu Singh, Director, B M Insatiate of Mental Health Organization. (D) The webinar was on the subject “ Atal Pension Yojana” on 24.02.2021 jointly with IIPA, New Delhi under flagship programme. The eminent speakers for this webinar were (1) Shri Madnesh Mishra, Joint Secretary in the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, (2) Shri Sanjay Vanani, Founder and CEO Navjivan Centre for Development, Mehsana (3) Shri P.N. Jain, Hon. Secretary, Gujarat Regional Branch, Ahmedabad. Gujarat Regional Branch, Ahmedabad have at present 143 Members on roll. The branch is planning for minimum one programme per month having seminar, conference / discussion and talks on various topics with respect to social services, administration and Industries base etc. Earlier our branch having the office space at SPIPA, Ahmedabad but due to renovation of whole campus of SPIPA, At present Gujarat Regional Branch,Ahmedabad is working from the space allotted by Sadvichar Parivar(NGO), Ahmedabad. Presently (1) Shri P K Laheri, Hon’ble Former Chief Secretary, Gujarat is Chairman of the branch, (2)  Shri P.N. Jain, Hon. Secretary, Gujarat Regional Branch, Ahmedabad actively working for the branch.
