5. Working on the research project undertaken by Regional Branch to complete th administrative history of undivided Assam covering the period 1826(Treaty of Yandabu) to 1972 (Creation of Meghalaya) is in progress. This project has been undertaken with the help of assistance of selected teachers of Guwahati University as well as couple of local colleges. We hope to complete the first draft of the history within this year

2018-19

Working on the research project undertaken by Regional Branch to complete the administrative history of undivided Assam covering the period 1826 (Treaty of Yandabu) to 1972 (Creation of Meghalaya) is in Progress this project has been undertaken with the help of assistance of selected teachers of Guwahati University as well as Couple of local collages. 1. The Prelude conference on the theme ‘Strengthening of Ethical and Moral Values in Governance’ The Keynote address was delivered by Shri K.V. Eapen , IAS, Additional Chief Secretary to the Govt. of Assam. Shri Jatin Hazarika, Chairman, Assam Regional Branch presided over the conference. (Oct. 2, 2016)
2. Talk on ‘Sustainable Development Goals’ by Mr. Jhon Borgoyary, Regional Head, UNDP, NE India. (Jan. 28, 2016)
3. Working on the research project undertaken by Regional Branch to complete the administrative history of undivided Assam covering the period 1826 (Treaty of Yandabu) to 1972 (Creation of Meghalaya) is in Progress this project has been undertaken with the help of assistance of selected teachers of Guwahati University as well as Couple of local collages.

1. Talk on the “Assam Rights to Public Services Act, 2012” by Shri Rajiv Bora, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms & Training. (28 Aug. 2013)
2. Talk on “Food Security in India-Issues and suggestions for Effectiveness” and also on the Food Security Act delivered during the prelude conference held in the conference hall of Hotel Brahamputra Ashok. The talks were delivered by Prof. Dr. M.P Bezbaruah, Professor and Head of the Department of Economics, Guwahati University and by Shri Shyam Lal Mewara, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.
