Shri Bhartendra Singh Baswan is a highly distinguished retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1967 batch (Chhattisgarh cadre). He is widely recognized for his administrative contributions and his role as the head of the Baswan Committee (2015–2016), which recommended sweeping reforms to the Civil Services Examination (CSE).
