CBP for Judicial Officers of India on Cyber Security & Digital Forensic Investigation
Capacity Building Programme for Judicial Officers of India on Cyber Security and Digital Forensic Investigation was organised by IIPA in association with I4C, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India from January 5-9, 2026. The objective of the programme was to ensure the attainment and maintenance of security properties of the user’s assets against relevant security risks in cyber environment. During the programme, the participants were able to learn about: IT Act; Digital evidences; Current scenarios and vulnerabilities; cyber space and attacks; online fraud; cyber forensic tools; DOT SIM fraud and Sanchar Sarthi Portal; Dark web; cryptocurrency; emerging technology; etc. Around thirty participants from Chhattisgarh; Haryana; MP; Maharashtra; Meghalaya; UP; West Bengal; etc attended the programme. IIPA has been training judicial officials building capacity at the state level. Around 4000 judicial officers pan India have been trained at IIPA so far. Dr Surabhi Pandey was the programme coordinator.
Training of National Trainers on Census 2027
The Training of National Trainers on Census 2027 Phase 1: Session Plan – Batch 1&2 were organised by IIPA in association with Office of Registrar and Census Commissioner of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India from January 5-9, 2026 and January 12-16, 2026 respectively. During the programme, the participants were able to learn about: Training Framework; Methods and Skills for Training; CMMS; HLB Carving through HLB Creator; Maps, Management, Logistics, Printing Module and SOP; etc. Dr Surabhi Pandey was the programme coordinator.
Training Programme for Scientists and Technologists
The twenty-third Foundation Training Programme for Scientists and Technologists was organised by IIPA in association with Department of Science and Technology, Government of India from January 12-March 6, 2026. Prof Vinod K Sharma and Dr Surabhi Pandey were the programme coordinators.
Pilot Programmes of the Clustered Package -1
Pilot Programmes of the Clustered Package -1 under revamped trainer development programme was organised by IIPA in association with Department of Personal and Training, Govt of India from January 12-17, 2026 and January 28-30, 2026 respectively. The objective of the programme was to test and improve the effective, flow, and facilitation techniques used in the redesigned trainer development programme. During the sessions, the participants were able to learn about: Training Need Assessment and related toolkit, mapping, report; AI tools; Data collection and evaluation of training; etc. Programme coordinator was Dr Amit Kumar Singh.
Training Programme for Block Horticulture Officers, Government of Bihar
The foundation training programme for Block Horticulture Officers, Government of Bihar was organised by IIPA in association with BIPARD from January 12-16, 2026. The objective of the programme was to familiarize the participants with the critical issues in governance with national perspective. During the programme the participants learnt about power of ownership; neuro-linguistic programme, value-chain for small and marginal farmers; water agronomy management; etc. Around 34 participants attended the programme. Programme coordinators were Dr Mamta Pathania and Dr Amit Singh.
Conference on Reimagining Dr Ambedkar Vision for Viksit Bharat
A two-day international conference on Reimagining Dr Ambedkar Vision for Viksit Bharat was organised by Dr Ambedkar Chair at IIPA from January 19-20, 2026. Smt Savitri Thakur, Hon'ble Union Minister of State, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India was the chief guest during the occasion. Over hundred papers were presented during the conference. The event was coordinated by Prof Nupur Tiwary.
National Urban Conclave on Envisioning Viksit Bharat @ 2047
Centre for Urban Studies (CUS) at IIPA organised National Urban Conclave on “Envisioning Viksit Bharat @ 2047: Digital Transformation in Urban Planning and Governance” on January 9, 2026 in hybrid mode with offline version being conducted at IIPA campus. The conclave deliberated on 29 papers on 8 specific themes. Shri DS Misra, IAS (Retd.) and former Secretary Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, GoI, delivered the keynote address. Prof Charru Malhotra and Dr Kusum Lata coordinated the programme.
Book Discussion - Public Administration in India: Theory l Policy l Practice
IIPA organised a book launch/discussion on the book - Public Administration in India: Theory l Policy l Practice by SN Tripathi, Ashok Vishandass, Suresh Misra and Mamta Pathania on January 28, 2026. Shri Rajiv Nayan Choubey, Former Member, UPSC was the Chief Guest. This book is designed to inspire aspirant civil servants, policymakers, and practitioners. Prof Ashok Vishandass coordinated the programme.

IIPA conducted a one-day capacity building programme with Urban Local Bodies of Saharanpur and Baghpat District under the Blended Capacity Building Programme for the stakeholders of river Ganga Phase II sponsored by NMCG.
A one-day Capacity Building Programme on Ganga Rejuvenation and Conservation was conducted under the Blended Capacity Building Programme for the stakeholders of river Ganga Phase II sponsored by NMCG at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya NMR JNU, New Delhi on January 19, 2026. The programme emphasised participatory learning, local action and the role of schools in nurturing environmentally conscious citizens aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat. Students and teachers engaged in meaningful discussions on river Ganga conservation, sustainable lifestyles and collective responsibility for a cleaner future. The programme witnessed 170+ students and 10+ master trainers. Dr Saket Bihari coordinated the Programme.
Under the IIPA-led Blended Capacity Building Programme for Stakeholders of river Ganga-Phase II sponsored by National Mission for Clean Ganga, Fourth Colloquy: Ganga Samvad and a walk-in photo exhibition was organized at Mata Sundri College for Women, University of Delhi on January 29, 2026. The colloquy provided a vibrant academic platform for students and faculty to deliberate on Aviral & Nirmal Ganga and its tributaries, sustainable river governance and role of citizens in safeguarding river ecosystems. The samvad placed special emphasis on Yamuna Rejuvenation and Conservation efforts. The programme witnessed participation of 275 students and 10+ faculty members. Principal of Mata Sundri College for Women, University of Delhi Prof. Harpreet Kaur and Registrar, IIPA Shri. Amitabh Ranjan graced the programme. Dr. Saket Bihari coordinated the Programme.

Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) and National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) signed Memoranda of Understanding with Morocco’s École Nationale Supérieure de l’Administration (ENSA) in Rabat to enhance training and capacity building of public servants on January 20, 2026. The MoUs were signed by ENSA Director General Madam Nada Biaz and Ambassador of India to Morocco Mr. Sanjay Rana, representing the Indian institutions. Dr. Surendrakumar Bagde, Director General, NCGG, and Mr. S. N. Tripathi, Director General, IIPA, along with senior Indian officials and experts, joined the ceremony virtually. The collaboration will facilitate joint training programmes, leadership initiatives, research, and knowledge sharing, reflecting the shared vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and HM King Mohammed VI to deepen bilateral cooperation through capacity building, institutional linkages, and people-centric governance.
IIPA hosted a delegation of international participants on January 27, 2026 followed by an interactive session and exposure in the areas of Use of AI for Policy formulation and Good Governance, Emerging Trends in Public Policy, and Infrastructure Policy in India with special reference to Sustainable Cities by IIPA faculty. The visit was arranged by NILERD in association with ITEC.

Karnataka Regional Branch
The branch in collaboration with the Dept. of Public Administration of the Central University of Karnataka (CUK), Kalaburagi and the Karnataka State Archives of the Government of Karnataka, organized a National Seminar in the university premises at Kalaburagi from January 29-30, 2026 on the theme “Political and Administrative History of Medieval Deccan”. The keynote address was delivered by Shri T.M. Vijay Bhaskar, IAS (Retd.), former Chief Secretary of Karnataka and Chairperson of the branch. Dr. G. Veershetty, Deputy Director, Divisional Archives Office, Kalaburagi was the Chief Guest. Prof. Battu Satyanarayana, Vice-Chancellor, CUK, gave the Presidential remarks. Resource Persons included Prof. Priyanca Mathur, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University); Prof. J. S.
