Odisha OAS Officers Trainees meet the Hon’ble President of India
An Induction Training Programme on Public Administration and Governance cum Exposure Visit for Odisha Administrative Service Officer Trainees OAS-A(JB) (PR) was organised by IIPA from August 25-30, 2025 in association with Gopabandhu Academy of Administration, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. As a matter of rare privilege, the officers got a chance to call on and interact with the Hon’ble President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu ji. Shri SN Tripathi, DG, IIPA, Shri Amitabh Ranjan, Registrar, IIPA and Dr. Surabhi Pandey, the Programme Coordinator accompanied the OAS Officers and interacted with the Hon’ble President of India.
Impact and Insights Workshop: Showcasing ground-level Transformational Work
Nokia, KPMG and REACHA in collaboration with IIPA organised an Impact and Insights Workshop: Showcasing ground-level Transformational Work through Nokia Smartpur Centres on August 1, 2025. Nokia’s CSR initiative, Smartpur, was developed to revolutionise access to livelihood opportunities, healthcare, financial inclusion, education and governance for rural communities by utilising the transformative power of technology. Dr Pawan Taneja coordinated the programme.
Training Programme for Assistant Architects, Government of Bihar
The foundation training programme for Assistant Architects, Government of Bihar was organised by IIPA from August 04-08, 2025 in association with BIPARD. The objective of the programme was to familiarize the participants with the critical issues in governance with national perspective. During the programme the participants learnt about power of ownership; neuro-linguistic programme, stress and time management; contemporary architecture; central vista project; biodiversity in landscape; etc. Around 51 participants attended the programme. Programme coordinators were Dr Mamta Pathania and Dr Amit Singh.
Second Immersive Learning Workshop on Climate Smart Governance
The second Immersive Learning Workshop on Climate Smart Governance was organised by IIPA on August 4, 2025 in association with the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The objective of the programme was to train central and state level officers on climate change adaptation strategies specific to diverse geographies. During the workshop the participants learnt about: Harnessing AI for Climate Resilience; Climate Smart Governance; Role of Technology and Climate Security; SDGs; and Crisis. Around 25 participants attended the Workshop. Programme coordinator was Prof VK Sharma and Dr Surabhi Pandey.
Orientation Course for Assistants of Indian Coast Guard
A three-week Orientation Course for Assistants of Indian Coast Guard was organised by IIPA from August 18-September 4, 2025 in association with Indian Coast Guard, Ministry of Defence, Government of India. The objective of the programme was to enhance their skills, knowledge and effectiveness in the modern administrative landscape. During the sessions, the participants learnt about : administrative and communication skills; workplace etiquette, data protection and cybersecurity; RTI Act; POSH Act; social media management; international concerns in coast guard administration; design thinking; etc. Around nine participants attended the programme. Programme coordinators were Dr Saket Bihari and Dr Manan Dwivedi.
Programme on Financial Management of ULBs
The Center for Urban Studies of IIPA organised a programme on Financial Management of Urban Local Bodies on August 26, 2025 at DRDA hall, Rohtak for 39 functionaries from Accounts, Audit and Revenue wing of Rohtak Municipal Corporation and other ULBs of the district. Prof KK Pandey coordinated the programme.
Redevelopment for Urban regeneration of Indian Cities
The Center for Urban Studies of IIPA organised a three day programme on Redevelopment for Urban Regeneration of Indian Cities from August 27-29, 2025 attended by a group of eleven Municipal Commissioner, Engineers, Planners, Architects from ULBs and TCPO. The participants shared strategies, projects and process involved in regeneration of core city areas. Prof KK Pandey and Dr Kusum Lata coordinated the programme.
NAMAMI GANGE
IIPA organised the School Capacity Building Programme for the third year of the second phase of the project "Blended Capacity Building Programme for the Stakeholders of River Ganga," sponsored by NMCG. This initiative continues to educate and engage school students and teachers in conserving our sacred river. IIPA successfully conducted one-day offline training at the Government Girls Inter College, Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh on August 5, 2025. The programme witnessed participation from over 200 students and two master trainers.

Under the project "Blended Capacity Building Programme for the Stakeholders of River Ganga" Phase II, sponsored by National Mission to Clean Ganga (NMCG), IIPA organised one-day offline school training session at Vikas Vidyalaya in Begusarai district of Bihar on August 13, 2025. A total of 104+ students and 9 Master Trainers participated in the Capacity Building Training Programme.
Continuing the momentum of the project "Blended Capacity Building Programme for the Stakeholders of River Ganga" Phase II, sponsored by NMCG, IIPA organised another offline school training at BR DAV Public School in Begusarai district of Bihar. A total number of 76+ students and 3 master trainers participated.
The sixth Capacity Building Programme for the District Ganga Committee of Bihar, held in the third year of the IIPA-led project on Blended Capacity Building Programme for Stakeholders of River Ganga Phase II, sponsored by National Mission for Clean Ganga was completed with the theme Arth Ganga. Led by Prof. V.K. Sharma and Dr Saket Bihari, the programme aimed to equip committee members with key knowledge and skills. Prof. C.K. Varshney delivered an insightful session on Arth Ganga Initiatives.
The seventh Capacity Building Programme for the District Ganga Committee of Bihar was successfully conducted on August 19, 2025 under the third year of the IIPA-led Blended Capacity Building Programme for Stakeholders of River Ganga – Phase II, sponsored by the National Mission for Clean Ganga. The programme was held on the theme “Aviral and Nirmal Ganga” and was led by Prof. V.K. Sharma and Dr. Saket Bihari. An engaging and insightful session on Aviral and Nirmal Ganga was delivered by Mr. Sankalp Lahiri, Founder & Director, Aquasense.

The programme witnessed participation of over 100+ students and 4 master trainers.
IIPA successfully concluded the two day Capacity Building Programme of DAV Public School, Lakhisarai in Bihar on August 27, 2025 under the project "Blended Capacity Building Programme for the Stakeholders of river Ganga Phase II" sponsored by NMCG. The programme witnessed over 80+ students and 5+ master trainers.

IIPA celebrated 79th Independence Day of India on August 15, 2025.
A delegation from Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics & Public Administration, (HCMA) Vietnam led by Dr. Le Van Chien, Director of the Institute of Leadership and Public Policy and Director, CIS Dr. Bui Viet Huong among other delegates visited IIPA on August 27, 2025. HCMA is the Central Training Institution of Vietnam which imparts Capacity Building Programmes to all the top Political Leaders, Civil Servants and Defence Forces Officers.
Shri Amitabh Ranjan, Registrar, IIPA was invited as a Panellist and a Speaker in ASEAN-INDIA 2025 Forum organised on the occasion of ASEAN Day at the High Commission of Malaysia on August 8, 2025. H.E. Dato' Muzafar Shah Mustafa, High Commissioner of Malaysia to India and Ms Sharifah Ezneeda Wafa, Dy. High Commissioner graced the occasion. The event was organised by the High Commission of Malaysia in collaboration with KARMA Foundation.
Shri Amitabh Ranjan, Registrar, IIPA was invited as a special guest of Honor of Chakra at the Business Fair – Diplomats Summit and Awards 2025 –Indian Edition.
Shri Amitabh Ranjan, Registrar, IIPA participated in the “Rashtriya Ekta (National Unity) International Seminar on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Institutions of Effective Governance and Administration in Modern India" jointly organised by Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) Gandhinagar and Indian Council of Social Sciences Research (ICSSR) as a Special Guest and Keynote Speaker on August 5, 2025.
IIPA welcomed Mr. Dimitrov Krishnan, Managing Director, Volvo Group's Indian Construction Equipment Business, former President ICEMA and present Chairperson, Infrastructure Equipment Sector Council, for a session on "Construction Equipment Industry: Driving Atmanirbharta and Sustainability" at IIPA for the participants of the 51st batch of APPPA.

Karnataka Regional Branch
The branch organized a lecture on Good Governance under the Constitution of India on August 2, 2025 at the IAS Officers Association in Bengaluru. Hon. Justice Smt. B.V. Nagarathna, Judge, Supreme Court of India gave the inaugural speech. Shri T.M. Vijay Bhaskar, IAS (Retd.), former Chief Secretary of Karnataka and the Chairperson of the Branch welcomed the guests and audience. Chief Secretary of Karnataka, Smt. Shalini Rajneesh, IAS was the Chief Guest. Smt. Uma Mahadevan, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner introduced Justice Nagarathna to the audience. Dr. D. Jeevan Kumar, Secretary, IIPA-KRB proposed a vote of thanks. The Shri K.S. Aiyar Memorial Lecture is instituted by Shri S. Ramanathan, IAS (Retd.), Chairman-Emeritus of the branch in memory of his late father.
Bihar Regional Branch
The branch organized an online Talk on Data Analysis in Policy Research in collaboration with International Business College (IBC), (Patliputra University), Patna on August 24, 2025. The function was presided over by Shri Vijoy Prakash, IAS (Retd), Chairman of the Branch. Prof Manoj Kumar Mishra, Principal, Bishwanath of Rajkiye Mahila College, Gulzarbagh delivered the welcome address and Dr Amir Mahmood of Dept of Public Administration, V K S University, Ara proposed the vote of thanks. Important among those members who actively participated were Prof Archana Kumari, Vice Chairperson, Prof Henna Tabassum, Jt Secretary Dr Rajesh Kumar, Dr K.
