The Institute has its Regional Branches normally at State capitals and Local Branches at city/district centre in the country for furtherance of the objectives of the Institute and to promote exchange of ideas on current trends and practice in public administration to public servants, academics, students and the IIPA members at the local level.
As on 31st March 2020, the total number of Regional and Local Branches of the Institute stands at 24 and 43 respectively. Names of the Regional and Local Branches and their Office Bearers, activities conducted by them and number of members attached with them during the year.
A Meeting of the Chairmen of the Regional and Local Branches held on 18th October, 2019 at the IIPA was presided over by Shri Surendra Nath Tripathi, Director of the Institute. A large number of issues pertaining to strengthening of the IIPA activities and development of Branches were discussed. The Regional and Local Branches represented at the meeting were: Bihar, Delhi, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Mizoram, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana & Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal (Regional Branches) and Aurangabad, Bareilly, Burdwan, Cuddalore, Dharwad, Howrah, Indore, Jabalpur, Kanpur, Karim Nagar, Madurai, Meerut, Muzaffarpur, Patiala, Patliputra, Puducherry, Thanjavur, Tirupati, Tirupattur, Villupuram and Warangal (Local Branches).
During the year, the names of 16 Annual Members and 11 Corporate Members whose subscription falls in arrears were removed from the membership rolls of the Institute under Rule 35(1) of the Institute. 18 Life Members and one Annual Member have expired during the year.
